Uji matcha tour
I went to Uji, Kyoto to see the Byodo-in Phoenix Hall, a world cultural heritage site, and to eat matcha tea.
Byodoin Phoenix Hall is known for its pattern on a 10-yen coin, but students actually had no idea that it was located in such a familiar place. I was impressed while holding a 10 yen coin and comparing it with the actual building. After learning about the history of Byodoin Temple and completing the tour, I was looking forward to the experience of drinking and eating matcha. I was eating various matcha sweets.
Well, what do you think? …. Some students said,” It’s delicious!” and others said,Hmm, I don’t like it…” and each had a variety of comments. Regardless, it looks like it was a fun day.
