I went on a field trip to Kyoto on December 13, 2023! Rather than being taken on a field trip by school teachers, this time we decided to meet on our own in front of the main gate of Kiyomizu-dera Temple in Kyoto. The only thing the school distributed was a 1-day ticket and a map. The students were asked to think about how to proceed and take action. This initiative began with the desire to help children acquire the skills they need to continue living in Japan. Even before the meeting time, the teachers were anxiously waiting for the students to arrive. However, most students arrived safely and on time. In the end, I was 1 hour late. However, we did not give up and were able to gather at the site. After that, we visited Kiyomizu-dera Temple, visited the surrounding shrines and temples, ate some food, and went a little further to Kinkaku-ji Temple and Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine. All the students had fun!
